Events It was a fantastic afternoon with ISU Board members at ISU BBQ. Great job done by Sony and helpful hand from Bjorn, Temenu and Annina. Two ISU Board members Sony from Czech Republic, Noel from Austria are saying good bye as they are done with their study at the university of Stavanger and will be back in their home countries. We ISU greatly appreciate their contribution and it has been great fun working with both Sony and Noel! We wish them best of luck with everything and hopping to see them in the very near future.

Dear Students:
The student organizations (ISU, etc.) are organizing the UIS Football Cup 2010, a big event, in which every student from the University of Stavanger is allowed to participate. This event should be a greatand exciting football challenge between sports interested students. Several teams, each containing 7 players, play against each other, first in groups, afterwards in the general knockout-system.
We also welcome football less interested, off the football field, there are entertaining offers such as organized games. Drinks and meals are provided.
As long as the weather permits, this event will take place on thursday, 6th of may, 5 p.m., at the soccer field behind the Hagbard Line-huset.
The Football Cup is planned and supported by dedicated members of the ISU student organization, so if you ask about the path of the application or need further information about the Football Cup, please contact us on our webpage: http://www.stavanger-isu.org/
Join this event, sign up together in teams and take part on the first major Football Cup in history of the University of Stavanger.

ISU-Stavanger is a branch of ISU Norway, a non-profit organisation run by and for international students. On a national level, ISU works in co-operation with NSU.
ISU is a democratic organisation. Every international student who has a student ID-card and has paid the semester fee is qualified to be a member or a supporter of ISU. Those studying at PhD programs are also included. ISU-Stavanger welcomes any Norwegian student at UiS who is interested in joining the organisation as well. All members have the right to run for office and to vote.
The main aim of the ISU is to ensure that the rights and interests of all international students are suitably represented and protected. ISU identifies the problems faced by international students and tries to find solutions. The second important aim of ISU is to provide and organise international students’ social life.
